Sunday in the Country poses as favorite concert

As abruptly  as the tickets were made public, they were sold out..

Sunday in the Country at Merriweather Post Pavilion is one of the largest country music events in Maryland. This year, all lawn seats and stage seats were completely sold out. Less than a week had expired before perspective buyers were no longer able to purchase tickets.

“I was really excited to buy tickets, but I was disappointed when I found out they were already sold out,” said John Carroll senior, Emma Wall.

This years line-up may be the reason for the quick outburst of sold tickets. The performers consist of Gary Allan, Florida Georgia Line, Maggie Rose, Brantley Gilbert, The Henningsons and Randy Houser. However, this does not include the opening acts.

The doors for this event will be opening at 1pm on Sunday, Septemeber 29, 2013.Sunday in the Country is sponsored by 93.1 WPOC whom is a Baltimore area radio station.

“I am so excited for this years Sunday in the Country line-up! There are so many great artists, I cannot wait to see them all ,” said NH sophomore, Emily Jagodzinski.

Like most concerts, Sunday in the Country starts out calm, while ticket holders wait anxiously for the first act. But, by the end of the night everyone is expectant of great performances and dances and sings along with the performer and the rest of the crowd.

“It is definitely a must-see concert. I’m counting down the days until then,” said Jagodzinski.
