“I am very obsessed with Christmas, I have a tree in my room that I decorate with lights and I have lights up over the perimeter of my room and I have lights over my bed and lights around my curtains and have two candles in the windows. Everyone always thinks I’m obsessed with Christmas because I always bring it up and say how many days there are until Christmas since I keep track of it all year. “Here’s the thing. I have a huge family and I have to go to five different places on Christmas and I don’t get to relax so it’s not fun at all. I don’t like the whole festivity thing like I’m not all about the decoration thing because it’s too much work honestly. But I like Christmas where I buy things for people and that part, I just don’t like the actual day.” –Alison Beers, senior

I don’t like Christmas because it feels too commercialized. As soon as Halloween is over, people put up Christmas decorations and all stores start advertising gifts for Christmas. Everything is all about getting gifts and spending money. I would much rather go on a vacation with my family than have Christmas. It is always so stressful and I’m always glad when it’s over.
