Davis coming back swingin’

Baseball fans know that the Baltimore Orioles were not the best team in the MLB last year. Even though they have some of the best players in Major league baseball, including Chris Davis, Matt Wieters, Adam Jones, J.J Hardy, Jonathan Schoop, and Zach Britton, they still didn’t put together the season they wanted like the year before.
There are a ton of factors that go into baseball. The MLB holds about 160 games per year and per team. To have a perfect season is like robbing a bank and getting away with it- possible but unlikely.
Baltimore is starting to come into the 2016 season and they want to rebuild their 2014 year and roster. However, losing Chris Davis is not going to help. Davis, or otherwise known as “Crush Davis” is the first baseman for the Baltimore Orioles. Davis is also a BIG hitter. He had 46 home runs in the 2015 year. 47 home runs out of 160 games is pretty darn good. Baltimore had to find a way to get Crush back, whether it was a lot of money or not. The Baltimore Orioles finally made up their mind and signed Davis for a seven-year 161 million dollar contract. Davis’s salary is 17 million, Baltimore sure gambled on this decision and hope to have it come out as a good one.
Davis has been an Oriole for a long time. By the time his seven year contract is over he will be 36 years old. To be 36 years old and still playing as a top player in the MLB would be absolutely amazing. No one can tell how he is going to do when he is 36 years old 7 years from now, he may still be a key player at that time or he might have a career ending injury, fans will just have to see.
Davis hopefully plays to his full potential and leads himself and his team to a very good season, and maybe even a World Series. However, there are many fans wondering how good he will be and only time will tell.
