Drama during surgeries; Greys Anatomy show brings out emotions

If you like prime-time soap operas with tons of drama but still relate to the outside world, this is the show for you. However, if you don’t have much free-time, this is not the show for you. It is very binge worthy and since it is 16 seasons, you’re never going to want to stop.

Greys is more of a matured audience show with episodes of sexual relationships in majority of the show and lots of blood and graphic images during surgeries and other accidents. I do not recommend this show for young kids.

Greys starts off with the main character of Dr. Merideth Grey’s first day of residency at Seattle Greys Mercy West Hospital where her mom was a legendary surgeon. You also start off by meeting other learning doctors who are all there on their first day as interns. Throughout the rest of the entire show, you meet new cast-members while watching these interns grow, you see hundreds of patients and catastrophic events and natural disasters. However, don’t forget about the signature romances and relationships that occur between them all.

Greys does a good job of balancing the realism of a doctor’s life in a work day with true, reenacted events, but keeps you in the soap opera feel with the romantic relationships. However, with both the relationships and traumatic events that happen, I assure you that your emotions will be played with, a lot.

Greys gets you feeling emotionally attached to characters and the patients that they are working on. They make the events seem so real that it seems like you are there in the action working on the patient. Even though these are fake events and doctors, while you are watching, you would think that it’s happening in real life.

There are a wide variety of different characters in this show. Some leave, some die, some may even stay all 16 seasons. One thing I can tell you is that there are many good looking doctors, for example the Sheppard brothers McSteamy and McDreamy. There are characters you will hate, then start to love, then hate again. There are characters that leave and come back. Trust me, each character will bring you a surprise at some point.

There is a rumor that Greys will have a season 17 coming out shortly. As of now, there are 356 episodes of this eye attention grabbing, emotionally attaching show. Each episode is an average of 42 minutes. Multiply that by the number of episodes, and you’ve got a lot of watching to do!

Yes, I know, that is a lot of time to watch television. But from what I can tell you, you won’t regret one minute of it!
