America set to inspire

Not only is she the SGA president, she also has put in long hours all summer to help inspire people through dance.

Senior at NH Cassidy Miller has been a dancer all of her life, and has put in the hard work and long hours . Miller has been dancing for Rage Box Dance Studio for five years where she has received teaching by Lance Guillermo and Danielle Sten-Guillermo. This summer Miller proved her love for dance by being one of eighteen dancers in Working America , a production put on by her two instructors.

” The purpose of this show was to help Lance and Danielle’s dream come true,” said Miller. ” Also to get the important message across about the daily struggle of working in America.”

Not only did the show display dancers, there was also a spoken word artist, Rudi Goblen.

” The way he would speak was so fascinating, the words were rolling off of his tongue in so many directions,” said Miller. ” His monologue was so un predictable but told such a strong story.”

This was the first professional gig that Miller had been able to participate in, and the first time she had met most of the other dancers.

” It was great working with some dancers I have never worked with before,” said Miller. ” It was nice because we have never met each other before in our lives but we meshed together so well.”

The show was put together in a period of two weeks and took place at Anne Arundel Community College.

” I was amazed that we put on such a complex show within two weeks,” said miller. ” It was so advanced you would think we have been putting it together for a year.”
