Teachers’ talents will take students by surprise

Special guest to make appearance at annual show

The teachers are back at it. They can sing, dance, act, and everything in between. The Teachers Got Talent Show has returned and this year it takes place on Friday, February 10 at 7:00 pm.

Junior Amanda Ryan says that in order to be involved in the show, teachers must pick a talent and perform it. “It’s really entertaining and they always do a really good job.”

One member of the yearbook staff, junior Gabby Pfaff says they’ve been “asking teachers to be involved, passing out flyers, and giving teachers ideas to of what they could perform.” Junior Madison Holliger says the staff will soon be hard at work producing the script for the show.

Another member involved in getting ready for the show, junior Kaylee Callaghan says the most difficult part of the process so far has been “trying to get teachers involved because they aren’t always willing to perform and many of them say they don’t have talents. But even if they don’t have any great talents, they can still perform and do something funny like a skit. It’s sometimes better if they don’t have a talent because it makes for a funnier show.”

Without giving away all the surprises, one act the audience can look forward to, includes some of the teachers in the science department, putting together a performance to remember. Ryan is hoping that “Mr. Auth will bring out the unicycle again in this year’s show because it was really good last year,” and Callaghan is anticipating the “act done by Mrs. Chandler and Mrs. Harward because they did synchronized swimming last year and that was pretty funny.” Some performances to look out for include acts by Ms. Sparks, Ms. Jestel, Ms.Arist, and many, many more.

According to the yearbook staff, people should come to the talent show because it will be hilarious and students can see a different side of their teachers and they may see cool things they wouldn’t expect. Ryan states, “people should come watch because it only happens once a year and it’s entertaining.”
