Teachers got Talent

At any given time at North Harford, there’s no shortage of seeing very talented students in action in sports, talent shows, musicals, recitals, and other clubs.

But, it’s the hidden talents that are harder to discover. However, there is a new opportunity to view some of the best hidden talents The Nest has to offer.

The Teacher’s Got Talent showcase is all the buzz going on in these hallways.

The yearbook staff under the direction of Mrs. Carla Harward have been planning this showcase and according to the group, they are very excited for North Harford to see some new talent from the teachers in this very school.

So who do students want to see under the  lights on stage?  Seniors Paige Anderson and Aidan Bannan would enjoy seeing Mr. Chuck Selfe perform for the student body: “He can sing very well. He is a great performer and very funny!” says Anderson.

Senior Makenna Hosterman has another singer in mind for who she’d like to see on stage.   “I would love to see Mrs. Rosales. She can sing and she can dance. I remember when we used to practice Spanish dances in her class when I had her for a teacher.”

Other students want to see the math and art departments represented in this competition.

“We need to see Mrs. Sparks and Mr. Blevins!” says junior Ray Burton.

Seniors Kate Sullivan and Katie Festerman want to be entertained by Mr. Ben Scarborough. “He performed for our class we all know he has musical talent to display,” said the seniors.

Though it’s not confirmed, Mrs. Joanna Dallam, Mrs. Laura O’Leary and Mrs. Megan Yohn have been considering a possible skit to perform at the students don’t want to miss this performance from the trio.

Mrs. Christy Renzulli and Mrs. Christle Henzel both would love to see their guidance coworker Mrs. Christel Henzel dance for the showcase! They exclaim that she  is a wonderful interpretive dancer and is a dance team coach herself.

The word is getting around and students want to see their favorites on stage and entertaining NHHS. Be sure to scout out the hidden talent behind those classroom doors and try to get more teachers to participate in this wonderful and fun showcase.
