BOO! Did I scare you?

Halloween is just around the corner and you know what that means, time for the spooky stuff. One of
the most popular things that has started this year is the “ghost photoshoot.” This photoshoot consists of
someone putting a white sheet on them and putting on sunglasses or just glasses and taking aesthetically
pleasing pictures.
Freshman Abby Sersen was one that attempted to do the photoshoot. When questioned Sersen stated
that she did this photoshoot with one of her friends, but she was not happy with the results.
“It is better to do it in a group of friends” Sersen also stated and that also you need a “good setting” in
order to get good quality pictures that are Instagram worthy.
No one knows exactly who started the trend but whoever did made it viral, pictures of this trend have
been all over different kinds of social media.
Freshman Kaese Asbury also tried to do this trend and was happy with the results and how it turned
out. Unlike Sersen, Asbury did this photoshoot with a group of her friends.
“We got to go to abandoned places” Asbury stated, when they went to take the pictures her and her
friends found multiple abandoned places that were close to them and decided to take them there in order
to make it more spooky but also aesthetically pleasing.
Asbury was very proud of the results and “for sure would do it again” because it was worth all the
driving around and the hard work that was put into it.
Halloween is coming, which means, time for the spooky stuff. This is just one of the trends that has
been started to fit the Halloween theme, a similar trend to this is people carving pumpkins and deciding to
put those on their heads while taking pictures.
Some people find this disgusting but other find it rather creative. Another trend is carving pumpkins,
but these do not go on your heads but rather people will put colorful smoke bombs inside to make a
colorful smoky pumpkin that also looks good in people.
Taking these pictures is a really big thing especially around the fall times, it shows creativity and
originality, if you want to tap into the trends, you can see these kinds of pictures on Tik Tok, Instagram,
and even Snapchat, they are very easy to make and a lot of fun according to Asbury and Sersen.
