The North Harford secretaries recently shared they collectively have a goal that they want to achieve, the Family Friendly School Award.
(1) Ms. Kim Iddings, lead secretary, said, “ We would love to be nominated and voted for the Family Friendly School Award at least once this year!” Iddings second goal is that she “wants students to know that the main office is super friendly and helpful. We are always here to support students, and we enjoy getting to know our kids and helping them.” The Family Friendly School Award is a partnership with Chick-Fil-A that recognizes the relationship between schools, families and their students, and celebrates them.
(2) Ms. Jean Grimmel, discipline secretary, said, “North Harford High has never been nominated for the Family Friendly School Award. We want that to happen this year!” The office staff are planning on putting up and handing out flyers to help make this award more visible in the eyes of students. Grimmel also added “The front office staff gives the very first impression of our school when encountering students and parents. We feel that we are super friendly and helpful to everyone we encounter, and we will just continue to do what we do every day.”
(3) Ms. Barbara Matthews, secretary and varsity girls volleyball coach is also determined to win. “We plan on accomplishing this goal by getting the word out there by word of mouth, putting flyers in the school, and using the Cry of the Hawk for families to nominate us.” Matthews said that winning this award is a special recognition and the school is “granted a luncheon for the school’s staff provided by Chick-fil-A.”
(4) Ms. Kayla Harmon, attendance secretary, adds that to win the award, the office staff will continue to “be friendly, be helpful, hand out the flyers, and most importantly SMILE!”
The program runs September through May. Nominations are collected during the first week of each month by completing the nomination form below.
