Isis crisis spins out of control
Beheading innocent people, terrorizing towns, and threatening countries is just a portion of what the terrorist group Isis has been doing on a daily basis, aiming to get attention from the whole world.
Isis, who calls themselves “the Islamic State,” is responsible for beheading two Americans, Steven Scotoff and James Foley, and a British aid worker named David Hatines. The organization is also responsible for the countless lives that have been taken during their attacks on villages and cities full of innocent bystanders.
According to CNN, more than one thousand Americans and Europeans have trained to join Isis, and have returned to their home countries and are planning to attack in the near future.
Another case in Australia involved a group of people that planned on performing public beheadings in two cities. They kidnapped random people and were going to videotape the beheadings and try to reach Isis, but were stopped in the process.
It is scary to think that people actually believe that what Isis is doing is something that needs to be done. People, who walk the same streets, live next door, or even associate with could be a part of Isis. There needs to be more action being put in place to make sure that the people visiting in Iraq or Afghanistan are not trying to get in contact with people in Isis. There should be more action put in place to make sure no one is coming back with the intent to ensue with mass destruction.
So far, Obama said that they have sent air strikes that have targeted and hit parts of Isis. In his Presidential Address concerning Isis, he boldly stated, “If you threaten America, you will find no safe haven.”
Isis has threatened Barack Obama personally and threatened many of America’s allies and the USA itself.
America has sent over 475 service members to Iraq to help the citizens and the Iraqi forces with combat training, education on Isis and its forces, and equipment to help defend against attacks. America has also come together with its allies to share intel on the terrorist group.
Isis has affected the globe as people from all over join the group. In a recent case in Oklahoma, a thirty year-old Alton Nolen beheaded a female coworker and stabbed another woman, who is in critical condition.
Having people that want to become a part of Isis and join in on their terror raids, need to have something wrong with them. No one in their right mind would want to just go around beheading random people.
Isis is not something people should strive to join. Killing innocent people for power or whatever Isis is trying to gain, is plain wrong. There should be greater involvement in finding out where Isis will hit next. There should be more armed forces seeking Isis out, because right now it doesn’t seem like many actions are being carried out to stop Isis and their reign of terror.
