The Star Wars cinematic universe is a space based film franchise that consists of both movies and TV shows, similar to the Marvel cinematic universe created by Stan Lee. This saga was created by George Lucas, whose films grew very popular since the first movie’s release on May 19, 1999.
The Book of Boba Fett is a TV show that takes place following the end of season two of The Mandalorian. The Mandalorian takes place five years after Return of the Jedi, while the first Book of Boba Fett flashback happens after Return of the Jedi.
The series follows and tells the story of the bounty hunter Boba Fett, who was thought to be dead in the 1983’s Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Along with mercenary Fennec Shand, an assassin seen in the Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian, who has teamed up to take over the palace of Jabba the Hutt and his crime empire on Tatooine.
The story follows both of these characters working as a team as they return to the sands of Tatooine to claim the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. While also the viewer gets to see the flashback of how he survived after falling into the sarlacc pit as talked about above, according to Disney+.
Senior Brady Wright said, “I think people should watch the new show because while it doesn’t follow the original plot of Star Wars it shows it does create a new story line that is awesome and just as good as the other Star Wars movies and tv shows in the franchise, it also shows the amazing animation skills from different animation studios and the amazing artwork they make for each different episode.”
“This show is so good because it elaborates on both the classic and the newly introduced characters into the storyline. As well as it develops new interesting and unique storylines and plots. I also like how they brought back Boba Fett because I thought he was dead and he is such a cool and intriguing character. This is one of many new Disney projects and so far I am very pleased,” said junior Julia Eakes.
This TV show was released every Wednesday on Disney+ from December 29, 2021 through February 9, 2022, according to a press release by the Walt Disney Company.
