Golf finishes season with outstanding record

With the end of fall sports comes the close of an outstanding golf season. The team dominated their opponents and finished out the year with a final record of 11-3.
“We did really well. I’m proud of the entire team,” said junior Brett McGeehan.
Along with their impressive record, the team came in second in the UCBAC tourney. They also came in third and second in the county and regional tourneys, respectively.
“Even with disappointing losses to Bel Air and Fallston, I am happy with how well we did,” said senior Richie vonNordeck.
Early in the season, the team came in second to Bel Air in the UCBAC tourney by three strokes, which frustrated most golfers. Undaunted, they managed to faces the challenges of the season.
“My love for the terrific students of North Harford keeps me returning,” said head coach Nick Panos.
Panos has been the coach for the golf team for 20 years. He hopes to return to the position next season and offers some advice to golfers who wish to join the team next year.
“Get lessons from a good teacher. Play tournaments over the summer. Make a commitment to excellence,” said Panos.
