Bowling
One of the Hawk’s popular clubs is bowling, and they’re looking to win counties this year in their local league.
The team is divided up into three teams, each consisting of four members. They compete every Wednesday in a league held at Forest Hill lanes against other Harford county teams. Along with the rest of North Harford’s teams, C. Milton is their biggest rival.
“Our teams have some experienced bowlers, and the ones who aren’t as experienced are enthusiastic and confident when they play,” said senior Mark Keller.
The team is open to anyone willing to play, making it a fun get together opportunity for anyone. Members are expected to practice on their own, but that doesn’t hold the team back from reaching its goals.
“In order to win counties, we have to have the best record and win our tournaments,” Keller stated.
“To win, we just have to make sure that people are showing up and bowling every Wednesday, otherwise they’re bowling blind,” said Mr. Ed Stevens, who is organizing the team this year.
Contributing players include seniors Aiden Riodan, Jordan Smith, Jake Burghauser, and Jeff Maso. Sophomore Michael Bishop and freshman Ben Nardi are also key players.
Good luck to bowling as they compete to win counties this season.
