Gym teacher, Mr. Jeffrey Burrows recently had a left hip replacement on January 18.
He states that he “had no cartilage in my left hip, so it was a lot of pain, and I had no mobility anymore.”
Burrows is at eight weeks post-op, and he states that the recovery time is about 12 weeks. He also says that he is not able to play golf or do a lot of other things until 12 weeks. He states that he is “not really in any pain, but I have not really run, cut, or done anything like that.”
He continues to state that he does physical therapy at home, and he “was at home for about five and half weeks, and they gave me exercises to do. The number one thing they said I can do while I was out was to walk, so I started with a walker, and then I went to a cane, and then I walked by myself.
Burrows is also a coach on the baseball team, and he comments that he “was hitting some balls to my team and I did not have any pain.”
“I do not have the best mobility yet because I am still recovering, but I am doing what I can,” says Burrows.
