Students are gearing up for prom, which is scheduled for April 30.   Seniors Ethan Jourdan, Tiffany William, and Emily Messick have spent time chasing after their dream prom dress/suit

Williams says, “I spent about $300  on my prom dress and for alterations I spent $175 and then my shoes I already have had but they were about $100 when I got them.”

Jourdan says, “I actually intended on going to a few proms, so I went with the budget of ‘bougee on a budget’, and so I really tried to go for what I had but I wanted to go a little bit more intricate with my suit and dress wear.”

“I bought my dress for about $500, and my alterations were like $200 and my shoes I already had but they were only like $20 when I got them,”: said Messick.   She said she got her gown  at Cecil’s Boutique.  “ I only shopped there for my dress and got it the first time I tried it on because I just fell in love with it,” said the senior.

Jourdan says,  “I am someone who does not spend a lot of money on a lot of things, but I really like fashion, so I spend a lot of my money on fashion, so I have a few suits that I have bought in the previous years in preparation.”

He continues, “I spent a few hundred dollars on different suits. But my actual shirt was very expensive, the same as my tie.”

Williams says, “I’m planning on actually getting my hair, nails and make up done for prom and the place I go to for my nails, it is only like $40 for a full acrylic set.”

She also mentions “ for my hair and makeup place, they aren’t extremely expensive, only like a hundred dollars and they do a good job.”

Messick says, “I am only going to get my hair done and do my makeup and nails myself. For hair, I go to Jordan Thomas and that only costs like $100.”

Jourdan says, “I don’t go out and get my hair done because my mom is really good at hair, so I have her just do it for me. But I like to use firm holding products because I don’t want to mess up my hair when I’m jumping around and dancing.”
