Doing makeup Emphasizing beauty

According to senior Kate Jones, makeup has become an art, and there are many different trends and ways to experience it.
“I’ve always loved art,” Jones says. She has been into art ever since she can remember and loves experiencing and trying new things. “When I saw how many different colorful looks you can do with makeup, I wanted to try,” Jones says.
Jones says after seeing and being able to test so many new makeup products, has made her love makeup more and more every day. After Jones has experimented with makeup so much, she states, “I’ve considered going to cosmetology school…to me, makeup is just another art form to express yourself so being able to make that a profession would be a dream come true.”
According to Jones, the beauty industry has a lot of scandals, so she doesn’t have a certain inspiration that made her so passionate about makeup. She says she got into makeup because she wanted to, not because of anyone else.
Jones says she loves experimenting with every type of makeup, but her favorite products to put on are eyeshadow and eyeliner, “I have also been getting into glitter and gems lately because of the euphoria trend.” Jones states. She adds trends in the makeup community are making her better and more flexible with makeup.
Jones states “My favorite makeup look I’ve done was pink eyeliner, it was so simple but still added a pop of color to my outfit.” She experiments with many different colors and many different products to figure out what she likes, and what she doesn’t.
According to Jones, she thinks anyone can try makeup; you don’t have to be good or experienced, you can just do it for fun. Makeup isn’t for everyone, but that’s okay. Just playing around with makeup makes you better and learn what you like and don’t like.
Jones states, “I don’t always do a full face, a lot of times I just like to do my eyebrows or throw some highlighter on, it’s so easy, but gives me a boost of confidence and makes my outfit look even better.” She states that she loves even doing simple things like that because it takes so little time yet adds so much.
Jones says, “Do makeup for you, not anyone else, makeup isn’t about hiding your face, it’s about emphasizing the beauty we already have, because everyone is just as pretty with makeup, as they are without.”
