Local Grill in Fallston serves fresh authentic food; What Sweet Greek Grill has to offer

Looking for a bite to eat? Family-owned small business, The Sweet Greek Grill, has fresh menu items that will “get your mouth watering,” according to their website. Whether you’re in the mood for pitas, skewers, soups, salads, or deserts, this local greek grill will be sure to leave you satisfied.

Located on the corner of Fallston Rd. and Baldwin Mill Rd., they offer different methods of service to their customers. The current breakout from COVID-19 is not a problem because “[they] will bring the food out to the car, or simply place it on the tables out front so we can maintain our distance,” stated by Travis Forsyth, one of the employers, and “Stan and his team will also deliver to you.”

Hours range from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. all week except Sundays, so you can find yourself ordering for brunch, or dinner. On Facebook, the Grill got rated 4.9 stars out of 5, based on the opinion of 51 people.

Haley Huffman, a local that posted a review on their Facebook page, stated, “From the Honey balls  to the pita wedges, and everything in between is good,” also commenting on the staff, saying, they are “very friendly and great!” Huffman alsp hypes up the pita pizza, adding, “it really hits the spot!”

Throughout their menu, they offer many vegetarian, and even vegan options. Their veggie pita is filled with grilled onions, peppers, sweet peppers and mushrooms with lettuce. Salads combine fresh greek combinations, such as mixed greens, sweet peppers, tomatoes, onions, olives, and more.

Their ‘Greek specialties’ consist of spinach pie, and dolmades, a Mediterranean favorite that includes meat and spiced rice wrapped in vine or cabbage leaves.

Andrew Workman also reviewed the grill via Facebook, and claimed their Gyro Pita is “absolutely delicious and the prices are great!” Also mentioning, “the owner Stan has such passion for what he is making and it really shows in the food!”

Their reviews consist of words such as, “authentic,” “amazing,” “very clean,” “homemade,” and “fantastic.”

The Giannas family started this small business in 2013, and “endeavored to bring to fruition to a life long idea,” stated a member of the family. Their idea to open up a family-owned restaurant took shape in their early 20’s when noticing the lines form at the Loukoumades stand from open to close at Greek festivals, and they saw a business opportunity. Years later, this local grill has had much success in ‘bringing it to life.’

Not only do many love the menu choices, but compliment the staff for their friendliness.
