Pop star Zara Larsson is back trending, this time with a new look and a hit new music vibe, and a wave of online buzz that’s helping her music hit new fans. Over the past few months, Zara has shifted her old style and image in a new way. Zara took on bright neon colors, Y2K- inspired fashion, and bold makeup looks that many fans state match her new songs and new creative vision.
Zara started her Midnight Sun’s Tour in Europe on October 28, 2025 inspired by her new aesthetic which was inspired by a viral meme online. A trend on tiktok turned one of her older songs “Symphony”, into a dolphin-themed meme. Zara instead of ignoring it, leaned into the fun imagery, letting dolphins, bright colors, and ocean-like themes influence her future work. That helped her build a new brand identity that feels less bold and more playful and creative.
Her latest album, Midnight Sun, released in 2025, mixes dance-pop energy with personal lyrics. Tracks from the album are showing up on charts again, and her older hits like Lush Life are becoming popular once more thanks to viral dance trends and social media challenges. Zara, in an interview with Women in Pop, states “Whenever I release a new song, I’ll always get a comment like, ‘I miss the old Zara.’ And I’m like, which one?! […] ‘I’ve done everything! The red thread throughout all of that has been my voice.”
Several students around NHHS stream her hit songs, student Mikaila Downey states “Well, I’ve always been a country music fan, once hearing her songs I gravitated towards them and started listening to broader genres.”
