Food trucks in Jarrettsville have recently been cooking up a storm of people eager to try all different kinds of foods.

The food trucks are located at the Jarrettsville volunteer fire company every Wednesday night from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. There are many options for food and drinks for all ages there.

Junior Kaylyn Shew says “I really like how they have such a variety of different foods available, so everyone has something different to get.” Shew explains that when she goes with friends or family everyone is in the mood for something different, which makes it easy for everyone to find what they like there.

“Having a gluten allergy makes it hard going out to eat but having so many options available makes it easy there,” Shew states. She says her favorite thing to get there are the smoothies and acai bowls to cool her down after long days at school and work.

Junior Aaron Huth says his family likes going there Wednesday nights to have the whole family together to spend time with each other. “I think it is a good family environment because you see a lot of friends from around the community there, and it is fun to be able to pick out anything you want to eat,” Huth explains.

“My favorite thing to get there is the Greek food from the Greek food truck because I have always been a fan of Greek food and it is surprisingly good there,” Huth states. He says he loves sitting outside with his family getting fresh air while eating and talking about their week.

Sophomore Rylee Holmstrom says, “I like going with my mom and sister after lacrosse practices because it is a nice way to wind down and talk about how my practice went.” She explains that she usually just gets pizza there and the pizza is better than most pizza she has had.

“I love the variety there since my little sister is a picky eater and my mom likes to get fancy things so it is perfect for us,” Holmstrom states. According to Holmstrom, the environment is family friendly, and people of all ages are there.

Holmstrom says it is only about five minutes from her, so it is easy and convenient for last minute dinners. “I would definitely go back since I really have enjoyed everything I have tried there,” Holmstrom states.

“All the workers and people there were friendly and helpful which is very important to me and my family,” Holmstrom explains. She says being polite and respectful is one of the most important parts when eating somewhere for her, and she was pleased with the service.
