Hawks show off Valentine’s Day flair

“I get my wife roses and buy a funny card every year.” – Mr. Michael Knoll, science teacher

“I am a single mom, so every year, I get my children gifts and cards. This year, I woke my son up with an ‘I love you more’ balloon and a card with candy. Then, I sent my daughter a card in the mail. My son and I also made chocolate covered strawberries together.” – Ms. Melissa Weitkamp, inclusion helper

“Last year, the guy I was dating came to my office in the morning with 12 balloons, 24 roses, a teddy bear, candy, and a gift card. I was so embarrassed and overwhelmed because all of my coworkers were taking pictures and laughing.” – Ms. Barbara Matthews, administrative support assistant

“I wrote this girl I like special things about her on a card, and I am getting her dark chocolate.” –

Michael Carico, freshman

“Before I was married, I worked at North Harford Middle School and after work I walked out to my car; there was a single rose on my windshield. I was so surprised and the little things make me happier than a big gesture. The small things are the most memorable ones.” – Mrs. Elizabeth Martin, science teacher

“I gave Ms. Mock and Mrs. Ford roses for Valentine’s Day this year. When I was out of school for about a month, I came back and was lost. They both helped me through getting caught up and understanding what I missed. So, I thought it would be nice to thank them for what they did.” – Ilias Roros, freshman
