How long have you been the athletic director?

This is my 2nd year as Athletic Director.

What do you like about this position?

I like that I am involved in all sports and not just the sports that I coach.  I like getting to know all of the athletes in the school.

What do you dislike?

 I dislike the administrative side.

What are some challenges  you face in the position you have?

Time management, budgeting, scheduling (practices, games, buses)

How do you think the fall teams are doing this year?

I think we are off to a good start. Every team is going to have their ups and downs.

Where do you think the fall sports teams could improve?

I think the teams could improve in effort, not during games but in practice.  Most athletes dislike practice and do not give full effort.

What are your thoughts on participation in fall sports this year?

The number of participants is down for a few of the teams.  Hopefully the numbers increase for next fall.

What are you looking forward to when it comes to winter sports?

Seeing how the teams are going to respond to the loss of the seniors from last season and which athletes stepped up to take over the team.

What are you looking forward to when it comes to spring sports?

Seeing how the teams are going to respond to the loss of the seniors from last season and which athletes stepped up to take over the team.

What is one thing you would like to tell all of the high school athletes?

The sport that you play isn’t all about the game.  Games only account for less than 20% of the sports season.  Your sports career goes by quickly, so take in the time you spend with your teammates and coaches.
