AP Testing

AP testing is just around the corner, and with all of the snow days that North Harford has experienced over the Winter, students are getting anxious for whats to come.

“There has been  a lot of lost time, because of the snow days, but I made the most of it  by studying on the lost days,” says junior Mallory Boyd.

There is 370 AP tests available to take and a number of AP classes available for students at North Harford to participate in. Many colleges will take the credits students earned from this test, which is the main reason students take these classes. “ I like to take the AP courses since they inflate my GPA and they look good on college transcripts, but they also challenge me,” says junior Scarlett Dare.

Students have been preparing all year for these tests and should continue strongly while they are approaching faster. May teachers and students have purchased the Barron’s AP Study Books. Teachers are also using practise exams to give their students a taste of what the actual test will be like.

Although, not many students are advised

Students this year may have noticed that there was a different way to sign up for the AP test, registration can now be completed online. “We began to do the registration online in order to streamline it, make it more accurate, and it gives students more time to register,” says Testing Coordinator, Christy Renzulli. North Harford is not the only one in the county, however, Aberdeen High School is also completing their registration online. “Completing the registration online was so much easier, it was very efficient and quick, they should keep doing it for the years to come,” says junior Lexi Kirkey.
