Surviving school shopping from the start

When packing for school lunches, be very smart and conscious. Smelly foods might not be the best choice for lunch, especially for the benefit of the people sitting within a 10 foot radius. But if onions, tuna fish, and/hard boiled eggs are a must have, then bring mints or gum to freshen up after eating.

Here is a helpful tip. If there are cut up apples to lunch, they are going to turn brown and look gross. To keep this from happening squirt lemon juice on the slices to keep them  fresh.

If you plan on bringing coffee to school in the morning be aware, it could make you hot and sweaty especially in the summer because of the added heat from the coffee. Having coffee in the morning is a good way to help keep awake and alert for the school day ahead. For people who prefer or don’t like coffee, smoothies are another alternative. It has a good source of fruits and vegetables, but be aware that it could spoil quickly and is a mess to deal with during the school day.

Another thing to consider, mainly for upperclassmen who drive to school, is a parking permit. It costs $15 for a full year or $5 per season. Students must complete an application in the main office and submit it to purchase the permit itself.

Also another good deal to look into is for the avid sports fans. Students can purchase a year long game pass for $20, and parents can purchased a $25 pass  that gives them access to a limit of 10 games  The passes can be purchased  from Mrs. Kim Iddings at anytime during the day or at any game that charges admission.
