Geography

Run by Mr. Chuck Selfe, Geography is a class that all students are allowed to take and teaches these students get a “non-stressful, laid back, yet rigorous,” class experience describes Selfe. Students get the chance to learn in this Social Studies elective the physical and cultural aspects of specific regions and countries.

In this classroom, students get to choose the order in which they learn about the regions of the world, of course, with guidance by Selfe himself. Students also get to learn about “countries that people in the U.S, and the media, tends to not pay attention to,” Selfe explains. Students also “have a better understanding of cultural differences and how we are all connected” once they leave the class.

Although this class is now recently open for all grades, freshman are now available to also take it, which shouldn’t be too difficult for them. Selfe explains that “because of the level of the course they should not stress.”

This class is an interest based course, so people that have a real interest in learning about this world, then they should not worry about getting a bad grade.
