Mr. Scarborough

Humans are condemned to repeat the past unless they learn from it, and for 14 years one teacher here at NHHS has been adamant at educating his students on history. This man has taught multiple lessons this year in his AP European and AP World History classes. Mr. Benjamin Scarborough started his career here in 2001.

“I was only four years removed here from having been a student here myself,” said Scarborough.

At first being thrown into a classroom and having charge was new to him, but after a while he got use to it.

“I now feel very comfortable in my role as a teacher and take great pride in the contributions I have made to the school and its students over the years,” said Scarborough.

Scarborough believes he is fortunate enough to be allowed to teach “extraordinary students,” and he is happy he is able to share his love for history, philosophy, and music. His students have very positive opinions of him and his teach style.

“I was never interested in world history until I had him as a teacher,” said sophomore Jill Nooney.

Another  sophomore Hannah Blosser has Scarborough for AP World History and says  “I love having his class. He’s also very calm, funny and that’s cool.”
