While the yearbook staff has been working tirelessly on the new book, the theme will not be revealed until a later date. However, the theme of last years book was “Listening Back”, and was inspired by the popular music app, Spotify.

Anddddd action! The annual Student-Teacher Talent Show is just 45 days away, and the yearbook staff has gotten a head start on planning. The show will be held on Friday, February 2, at 7:30 pm.

Sign-ups to perform or be a judge began in November, and will be closing on December 22. There are QR codes around the building that are linked to a Microsoft Forms page that students and staff can fill out, if they’d like to be involved with the show.

Senior Lilly Moody has taken on the task of organizing much of the show. She stated that she “…loves the talent show…and it’s going to be so fun!” She explained that some staff performers we will see are “ Mrs.  Jestel… Mrs. Chandler and Mrs. Harward, Mrs. Marzullo and Ms. Mock, Mr. Liebel… Mr. Selfe and his band…” and many more.

Some student performers are also expected to return, including senior Robert Brooks. Brooks won the show last year, after playing his electric guitar last year, covering songs from artists like Van Halen. He expects to bring his band to the stage this year.

New members of the yearbook staff are very excited to both work and perform at the event. Junior Hannah Arnold exclaimed that in one word, the staff’s act is “pink!”, and will surely be a crowd pleaser. It’s currently being kept under wraps, along with the journalism staffs’ act. However, English and journalism teacher Mrs. Jennifer Chandler stated that their act can be described as “illuminating”.

Aside from working on tasks for the event, the staff has been working hard to complete pages from the fall season, including fall sports, homecoming, and more. They are also working on pushing book sales. Yearbooks can be purchased at www.jostens.com, along with senior recognition ads and business ads.
