Want to be more involved in the community? Then come become a member of one of the biggest clubs at NHHS. D.U.C.K.S, which stands for Doers of Unique Caring and Kind Services, is a community service group devoted to helping the school and community at large. Activities throughout the year include a fundraiser trip to New York City, a giant yard sale held in the spring, and much more!

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America):

Want to get a head start on ensuring a successful future? Then become a member of FBLA, one of the four Career and Technology Student Organizations supported by the state of Maryland. The main focus of FBLA is to incorporate business education while also preparing students for college as well as their future career. Future Business Leaders of America is especially helpful for those pursuing a career in business, however, students of all career interests are encouraged to join.

Speech and Debate:
Freshmen do you……..
Lack the confidence to speak up in class, or just to state an opinion in general? Don’t be. Instead become a member of the Speech and Debate Club, a wonderful extra-curricular activity that builds confidence. Speech and Debate teaches people how to think on their feet quickly, and how to express their beliefs or opinions in a well spoken statement. Being a member of this club gives students the confidence to speak up in class, to respectfully challenge someone else’s opinion and to overall become a better public speaker.

Best Buddies:
Freshmen do you……
Want to help the students in the school but don’t know how? Join Best Buddies and get matched with students with intellectual disabilities to create one-to-one friendships with them. Be a part of the reason that the separation between those with disabilities and those without becomes less drastic.

Criminal Justice Club:
Freshmen are you…….
Interested in the field of Law Enforcement/Public Safety? Then join the brand new club to North Harford, the Criminal Justice Club, to get hands- on experience from people who are currently working in the field of Law Enforcement. Members will be given the opportunity to go on field trips and participate in after school activities, some of them being a live demonstration by members of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, Special Response Team (SRT), CID, Traffic unit, and much more!

FFA:
Freshmen do you….
Want to develop leadership skills through agricultural education? Become a member of FFA in order to positively affect the lives of students by polishing leadership skills, growing personally and capturing career success through agricultural education. FFA encourages achievement, teamwork, character growth, and promotes environmentally conscious minds.
