Q&A with Noah League: SGA Executive President

What are your responsibilities as executive board president of the Student Government Association (SGA)?

“I have to make sure that the other members of SGA are always up to date on our plans. I am also organizing our meetings and planning for future events.”

What are SGA’s plans for this year?

“Right now we are planning for Homecoming. This year’s theme is Masquerade, so we just purchased tons of masks that will be given to students at the door. Also, we are aiming to plan three blood drives. We also have the Talent Show, Hawk Stock, Senior awards, and baccalaureate, and graduation towards the end of the year. And hopefully, we will be able to have freshmen elections soon, but we haven’t been able to get the voting booths, so we are working that out right now.”

How can students become involved this year?

“ A great cause of ours is the blood drive. Also, every time a student attends an event, it is raising money for our school, which is really helpful.”

Do you have any advice for freshmen?

“Get involved and start raising money for your class. The more money you need, the harder you need to work as a representative of your class.”

What is your favorite time of the school year?

“I like winter the best, because the musical is over and I can focus on other things. College applications and auditions are also on my mind, so I can’t wait to have more time to work on those.”
