Boys Basketball
With the winter sports season in full swing, the varsity boys basketball team dribbles off to a strong start.
The team is led by coaches Jeff Burrows and Bill Taylor, and by senior captains Collin Keating, Nic Hammer, and Ryan Feiss.
The Hawks started their season with a win at home against Harford Christian, 54-40.
“Everyone played and 12 people scored,” said Burrows.
According to the captains, the team’s strengths are their quickness and their scrappy-ness, while their weaknesses are height and ball handling.
“We had a strong first game and if we keep practicing the way we are now, we will have a successful season,” said Keating.
According to the captains, key players for the Hawks include the juniors Brett Hurley and Colton Geiger.
“It is a great group of players that work hard and we play really well as a team,” explained Hammer.
As usual, the must-see games of the season are quickly approaching against rivals C.Milton Wright High School and Fallston High School.
