Girls’ soccer claims victory early in season

The girls soccer team has high hopes going into the 2014 season, and the team is already playing their way to victory. Leaving their recent tournament as champions, it is clear they have no intentions of backing down to the competition.
Senior and captain Claudia DiVenti believes the team will reach great success in the upcoming weeks. “We think we can make it to regionals and hopefully states,” said DiVenti.
DiVenti believes that the key to the team’s success comes directly from the close relationships the players share with each other. “We had a young team that has grown up together,” said DiVenti.
This season, the girls will take on many teams viewed by them as good competition, and according to DiVenti, their game against C Milton will be most important.
As for creating a large fan base, the team expects their greatest spectator turnout to take place at the home game against Fallston on October 13 at 6:45 pm.
