New year, new season. With the new season underway, the North Harford swim team is hoping to make a splash.

With a new season comes new teammates. There are some members with loads of experience, and others with less, but junior captain Grayson Saldana claims that they “will be sure to progress with the team.”

While preparing for all of their other meets, senior captain Becky Jump claims that out of all of their competitors, C. Milton Wright is their biggest. “

They have some very good swimmers but we try not to let them get to us and keep on practicing for ourselves, rather than our competitors.”

In order to prepare for these meets, the team will be working on their “endurance, distance, and time,” according to Saldana.

While many of the teammates have personal goals, Jump has a goal that involves seeing “as many people going to regionals and states as possible.” She personally has been to states three years in a row and says that “it would be awesome to see more people to get the chance to go.”

Going to states will be a big achievement, and Saldana encourages his teammates not to give up in the months to come.
