It’s a new year and a new season. Hawks wrestling has started and the team has a bright outlook.
“We have a new coach this year and we are all excited to use the techniques he taught us in our upcoming matches,” said senior Trevor Smith.
The team has set many goals for this season. Unlike many sports, each person wrestles individually to advance themselves, but the scores benefit the team as a whole.
“I think we all have the same goal,” said senior Gregory Fiackos. “We want to make it to regionals.”
Not only does the team have goals for themselves, they also have goals for their fans.
“Our message for the fans is that we want to make wrestling as popular as football,” said senior captain Angelo Koulatsos. “We work hard at practice and want to show them what we can do.”
